Third Edition Reservation

The Third Edition is in the heart of Georgetown’s nightlife scene, located just up from the intersection of Wisconsin Avenue and M Street. Dining reservations for our downstairs dining room are not required, but are welcome. Please submit your reservation request online or give us a call directly. Please note that online reservation requests are not linked with Open Table or any other reservation system, and you will therefore be contacted via email or phone to confirm your request. Please call the restaurant for same day reservation requests, or for reservations for parties larger than 8 guests.

What is the dress code?
Third Edition welcomes you and your guests in what you find most fitting and comfortable for the occasion in which you are joining us. The downstairs dining room is both friendly and lively, with guests enjoying a beverage at the bar and cheering on their favorite sports team, taking a shopping break or celebrating a special occasion with friends or family.

The upstairs venue does adhere to a casual dress code at night. Kindly note that while we permit casual attire, the following is not permitted: bandanas, white t-shirts, cut-offs, jerseys, combat boots or dew rags. Management reserves the right to deny entry should attire not outlined above be found to be inappropriate.

What is parking like & is Valet available?
Third Edition does not have valet parking, and does not validate for parking in the lot on Prospect Street. Street Parking and Garage/Lot Parking is conveniently available in Georgetown, across the street or just behind Third Edition on Prospect Street. Parking is also available in the Shops of Georgetown (entrance on Wisconsin Ave). Hours of operation and parking rates of garages/lots may vary.

Most street parking in the area is Metered Parking. Kindly note that it is suggested all street signs are carefully read prior to parking in Metered or other street parking, as restrictions may be enforced during certain times of day/night and on weekends and holidays.

What is the most convenient method Public Transportation available to Third Edition?
Although there is not a metro connection in Georgetown, we are easily accessible via the Circulator Bus, an easy commute from various parts of the city, or from the Foggy Bottom Metro stop. Those joining us by way of Metro from Rosslyn may get to Georgetown on the Georgetown Blue Bus.

Is your Chef able to accommodate Dietary Restrictions?
We strive to ensure that all guests are able to dine with us, regardless of their dietary restrictions. We request that you let us know upon making your reservation of any allergies and/or other restrictions you may have so that we may inform the Chef and do our very best to accommodate them. Should you or your guests have any severe allergies or restrictions, we would highly recommend your taking extreme caution in dining in our establishment, as we do prepare seafood, products with nuts, and other foods that are common allergens, and therefore cannot guarantee traces may not be present. Please let your server know of all allergies and dietary restrictions when dining with us.

Are guests under age 21 allowed in Third Edition?
Third Edition welcomes guests under the age of 21 on evening and weekends until 10pm. We are unable to permit entry of under-age guests after 9:30pm Wednesday-Saturday nights.

We welcome the family, school groups, and church groups, especially if you’re on vacation or visiting DC for a special occasion. We will do our very best to accommodate any special requests for children, teenagers and college-age guests and work to ensure their experience with us is memorable and fun!

Is there a cover charge for entry?
A cover charge is required for entry on Friday and Saturday nights after 10pm. Please contact us directly at 202.333.3700 with questions regarding cover charge, as it is subject to change without notice and at the discretion of management.

Do you offer Live Music and what time of music do you play?
Live music is offered from time to time, and our DJ plays Thursday – Saturday nights. The DJ begins in the downstairs dining room at 9:30pm Thursday-Saturday, and upstairs beginning at 11pm. We offer a mix of 80’s & 90’s top 40’s downstairs, and a mix of Top 40’s, Hip Hop and Progressive House upstairs.

What time does the upstairs venue open to the public?
The upstairs venue opens at 11pm Wednesday-Saturday nights, and is available for private events Sunday-Tuesday nights. Hours and availability are subject to change at the discretion of management and without notice.

When does the Tiki Bar open?
The Tiki Bar opens at 11pm, weather permitting. It is heated and open during the winter at the discretion of management.

Do you accommodate Large Parties, Private Parties or Buyouts?
Absolutely! What’s a party without bbq, bourbon and blues? While we do not have a private room, we are able to accommodate large parties (20-45) in our main dining room, or upstairs in our second floor loft. While we don’t normally rent out the patio, we have been known to do so on occasion with a secured food & beverage minimum.

We do welcome buyouts for parties of 50-150 should you wish to make your event completely private and use the whole restaurant and the patio. Buyouts have use of both the upstairs and downstairs bars, upstairs loft and may have a band or live music if desired.
